Parr Waddoups No. 1 in Real Estate

After extensive interviews with key in-house counsel and leading private practice attorneys, the law firm of Parr Waddoups Brown Gee & Loveless is pleased to announce that Chambers USA 2008 (Guide to America's Leading Business Lawyers) has ranked the firm as number one in Real Estate and Corporate/M&A law for the state of Utah. The firm's Commercial Litigation practice and thirteen lawyers were also singled out for recognition in this highly regarded publication where attorneys are rated on technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by the client.

REAL ESTATE:

For six consecutive years, Parr Waddoups' Real Estate practice has been ranked number one in Chambers USA. The 2008 edition calls the firm's lawyers "truly excellent". According to Chambers, David Gee was praised by his peer as "clearly one of the best in the market. He's absolutely outstanding." Charles Maak captured a place of honor again this year on Chambers' Senior Statesman list. Robert McConnell attracts praise as a "knowledgeable and cooperative" lawyer who "services his clients well, making even the most difficult decisions seem simple." 'Up and Comer', Lamont Richardson, was recognized once again for his handling of lending work.

CORPORATE and M&A

The firm's Corporate/M&A practice moved up to a first place position this year with five lawyers being singled out as tops in their field. According to Chambers, the reasons for this team's position as "an unquestionably first-class group" are numerous. Interviewees noted Parr's position as "an excellent firm with a broad commercial practice" is undeniable. Scott Loveless and Brent Stevenson were noted for their "excellent M&A work." COMMERICAL LITIGATION

The Parr Waddoups Commercial Litigation practice, which holds a second place ranking in the Utah market, is noted as an "outstanding, high-quality and ethical group" with a high concentration of great lawyers. Clark Waddoups is noted by his peers for his "consistently excellent work." Robert Clark, one of the firm's senior trial lawyers, handles commercial disputes of all kinds. Jeffrey Hunt, noted for his particular strength in first amendment issues, and 'Up and Comer' Jonathan Hafen, received praise from their peers for their already standout work.
